Peer Review Process

Submissions must be prepared according to the Author's Guidelines. Manuscripts may be returned to the author without scientific assessment if the manuscript does not meet all submission requirements, the format is incorrect, indications of publication malpractice are found, or cannot be downloaded reliably.

Submissions must represent the original and independent work of the author. The Lead Editor assesses each new submission to determine whether it falls within the general remit of the Jurnal Pedagogi dan Inovasi Pendidikan. We will reject manuscripts without review if the content is insufficient; it exceeds our word limit or is formatted incorrectly; the presentation is poor and unclear, or there are indications of plagiarism. The Lead Editor or Associate Editor will handle manuscripts that pass the initial assessment to oversee the review process for contribution, originality, relevance, and presentation.

Once the manuscript passes the initial examination, it will be submitted to two independent experts for peer review. Double-blind review is implemented, where the author's identity is unknown to the reviewer (the editor will remove the author's name before sending it for assignment to reviewers). Peer review comments are confidential and will only be disclosed with the express consent of the reviewer. All manuscripts are subject to peer review, and authors can expect a decision, or an explanation for the delay, within two months of acceptance. The corresponding author must submit a revised manuscript within two weeks if a revision is requested. The Lead Editor makes the final decision based on information obtained through the peer review process.

As explained in the publication ethics, we ensure that reviewed manuscripts are treated confidentially before publication. The Journal's detailed peer review process is based on the following chart:
